I've just arranged to purchase a s/h G4 Ti Powerbook so I no longer
require this G3 iBook
this would be a good second machine for the kids to use, a backup for
your main system or to use as a cheap travel laptop (which is what I
purchased it for)
Offers accepted now but machine will not be ready to be picked up
till Wed as I have to transfer data to the PowerBook when I pick that
up Monday or Tuesday.
iBook specifications:
G3 500 MHz PPC750
128MB RAM built in (came with extra 256 RAM stick but this is not
included as that RAM stick is faulty)
15GB (14GB formatted) hard drive.
CD drive (not burner) will consider throwing in a s/h external USB
4x Iomega CD burner for an extra $50 if buyer considers it
"essential".
Loaded with 10.3.X and all the usual Apple iLife software (itunes,
iPhoto etc) plus other general purpose utilities and applications
Not surprisingly given the machines age the battery doesn't hold much
of a charge but it is fully compatible (and has been tested) with
current model Apple and 3rd party iBook batteries and a new high
capacity than original battery will easily run it for about 5 hours.
As I have a few laying around doing nothing I'll include an external
USB keyboard and mouse, I'll also throw in a couple of good quality
USB cables and a Firewire cable to.
Looking for about $300 but will accept reasonable offers. How I'll
work this is that the first person to offer $300 before midday Wed
can have it, else I'll accept the highest reasonable offer tendered
by then.
