Hi Stew,

I'm not sure about the most recent iBook models, but I'm lead to believe that previous models only supported screen mirroring. That said, there is a known hack that will enable extended desktop mode on iBooks:

Be sure to read up on the hack and NOTE THE WARNINGS. It is not without risk on some models and the repercussions are yours alone to weigh up.

HTH,

Cheers, Matt.

Hi all,

I notice the Apple website has the current iBooks coming with vga adaptors - can anyone tell me if this allows for screen mirroring and/or splitting (if you know what I mean :-) ) ? Also, was this the case with earlier ibook models (i.e. 2003/4) or is it a new thing?

I guess what I'm looking for is a comprehensive list of mac model features (which I'm sure would be of use to a lot of people) - Is there such a repository?

thanks in advance

Stew
