Somedays ago in response to a query some kind soul posted a link to
"Galerie", free software for creating web photo galleries from
iPhoto library files and other sources.
I can not remember who made the posting but it is a brilliant piece
of software which I have taken on board. Till now I have used the
Photoshop web gallery which is fine but limited. Galerie not only is
very flexible and easy to use, with a great range of excellent (ie
not hideous, garish) templates but has the facility to edit and add
to galleries previously created. Linking directly to iPhoto (or iview
Media Pro) is a great feature for ongoing situations where
collections need constant managing. Managing the web page for my
wife (an artist) is always a hassle as new works are added. With a
moderate reconfiguring and incorporation of Galerie this will become
a breeze.
