Ipod shuffle on OS 9?

Hi all

I  received and ipod shuffle for my birthday last month .
I'm still waiting to upgrade my mac to tiger saving a bit more for larger HD
and RAM. So can you run the shuffle on a OS 9.2.2 Still haven't open the box
yet .
