Should be a no brainer with no config needed. If you can access the

should be able to access your email. I doubt whether it's your router.
What mail program are you using, what version, version of Mac OS, who
is
your ISP, what info have you got entered in your email client as far
as pop
server, smtp server?
Panther 10.3.9 build 7W98
Apple's Mail 1.3.11
Arachnet ( arach.net.au) although the logon to ADSL had to be changed
from the original "name@ arach.net.au" to " [EMAIL PROTECTED] "
months ago.
Mail
Receive is Pop ..... mail.arach.net.au
Send is SMTP ..... mail.arach.net.au
user name is [EMAIL PROTECTED],net,au ( different to ISP
logon name . something to do with Telstra I was told )
My guess without knowing any of this is try manually entering a DNS IP
Address in your network settings.
Did that !
Find out the Address of your ISP's primary
DNS (from their help page on the web) and put it in the appropriate
place
and see if that helps.
Did both primary and secondary
Cheers

It logs on sometimes to receive Mail , but more often than not for a
manual
" get mail " start it sits showing " logging on for mail " . or
words to that effect.
The Router is a 4 port Wireless and ethernet with wireless disabled ,
and just one Port in use at setup .
thanks

Hi,
Well i managed to set up this Router Netgear WGR614 enough to surf on
the Net
but obviously I need more to make Mail work correctly.
It currently refuses to consistently connect and collect mail, but
works at times.
The Manual is short on info for this , but I am guessing i may need to
set up
some sort of forwarding !
