- I know VPC is not a speed demon but on of the users I support is
reporting (and verified by me) that his 1 year old install of VPC is
running extremely slow....
His machine is a high end G4 tower and when originally set up was
running at acceptable speed (around fast P3 speed) now is running
slower than a P2.
Has XP pro has good regularly updated antivirus protection and scans as clean.
any ideas on cleaning it up or getting it to run faster ?
He's got a G4 tower running XP? That's probably why it's slow.
Either that or you've made an error in your problem description,
which makes it difficult to provide you with any useful information.
I'd suggest updating VPC, dropping the colours it's using down (less
bandwidth), trying a different VPC client that offers better
compression settings.
