Using Mail on 10.3.9
Am attempting to open a Bankwest account.
The Area Code box , after entering 08 (required in a single specific
box) reverts to 8. Have tried all permutations but
My app then rejects.
The same thing happened I recall when trying a similar procedure
with CommBank some time ago
Any answer out there please.

Perhaps you should try a web browser like Safari or Firefox rather
than using Mail as you state above?
If you were using a web browser, then try using a different one. Or
complain to BankWest, not that it ever works for me (I especially
like the forms that don't work after you fill in the 8th page or so,
they're really great).
