Andrew,
yes the ipod 3g dock will work with your ipod nano. The only issue is
that you will not be able to press the buttons on your nano in it
without supporting the nano with your other hand - as the connector
will be the only thing holding up the nano. But it will work for
syncing and charging.

Does anyone know for sure if the iPod Nano (which I plan to get for my
wife) can use the iPod 3G dock? I already have the later plugged into
the Mac and don't want to fiddle around changing them over. Physically,
the opening on the bottom of both iPods looks the same.
