I have a very recent ibook and use wireless all the time - no
problems really. A few problems were related to the wireless
router. I'm using Belkin rather than Airport.
All problems have been sorted.

Ok all you guys with the new model PowerBooks (and perhaps recent
iBooks as
well):
Have any of you encountered any issues with the Airport
connectivity of
these machines - particularly when connecting using Enterprise WPA?
Quite a few of the staff from one of our departments who have all
switched
over en-masse to Macs have just bought new PowerBooks and are
having some
major connectivity issues with the 802.11g signal fluctuating
wildly and
dropping out while their old Windows and Linux laptops sit there
unaffected.
Their tech staff tell me they also had a student with a new iBook
which
displayed the same problem.
Older iBooks and an 18 month old 12" Powerbook also seem to be
unaffected
and work fine in the same locations. Could there be a new 802.11g
chipset
in the new Macs that may be causing issues?
As you can imagine, some of the staff having just switched are
muttering a
bit and wondering if they've done the right thing.
We're using Enterprise WPA.
I've tried my older model 15" powerBook up there and it worked
fine, but
their Powerbooks were also behaving at that time. They're going to
call me
when they next encounter the problem so I can see if my older
Powerbook is
also affected.
They've run all the latest system updates for 10.4.3. I've asked
them to
try turning on "Interference Robustness" and turn off Bluetooth.
I haven't noticed anything on Macintouch et al.
