Morning,

I had a restoration job about 18 months ago which included many variations of tape including super8, I had them digitised at Channel 7 although not 100% service is still available. An acquaintance who volunteers at Access 31 does some sort of transferring when working their it may be a cheaper alternative. Besides these 2 the other I found was Pro Copy in Morley, but I suspect they may have sent the film out for telecine?

Then their is always the project onto an off-white piece of card or material and record with a mini-dv camera this has worked a treat for some handmade films I have made and digitised. Trick is to make the projected area small and white balance is done manually, of course a 16:9 or anamorphic 3ccd camera + lens would be beneficial. But, it has worked successfully for my requirements with any mini-dv and FCP does have lots of possible options to correct impurities in post.

This company does online quotes so you can get a handle on costs. - http://www.dvdinfinity.com.au/

Cheers!
