I have a D-Link DSL-300 connected to my iMac and it works well. I also have a G4 Powerbook which I want to occasionally connect to it.
I plug it in and go for Automatic configurations but it will not connect. I have manually entered the exact IP address and Subnet Mask and Router numbers into the TCP/IP but it will not connect. Using Internet Explorer I have got into the DSL account configuration and entered the username and password exactly as on the iMac but when I click OK it comes up saying there is not enough room and my existing iMac account must be deleted. I do this but without success and have to re-enter all the information again on the iMac when I want to connect it. However it works on my son's wireless set-up and configures it self automatically. He also has a D-Link 300 connected via Airport. Is the D-Link limited in any way? It only has one ethernet plug space. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Lloyd --
