Hi,

Are there any experts in the integration of Macs (OS 10.4.n) into a Windows 2003 Server network with DFS (distributed file services?) without the need for additional software such as DAVE.

Since moving from OS9 many years ago, I have enjoyed being able to use my work network with the built in tools of OSX, and not having to rely on the vagaries of DAVE which used to be very temperamental and lock up my Mac quite frequently. Things worked well until two weeks ago when IT "upgraded" the Windows server.

Now:

1) Mail will not pick up my Outlook account, however Entourage will! Would prefer to only use one mail client if possible especially as I have a lot of old emails archived in Outlook and is more easily searched with Spotlight.

2) My network share is visible but "empty" from OSX, however will work normally (albeit slowly) with DAVE added.

Any OSXperts out there who know how to fix this and could give me some pointers, or if you make a living out of resolving such problems, contact me off list with pricing details for your services.

TIA
John
