Hi Paul, I haven't used Dvico, but did use the application you speak of (iTele).
I used a nice USB HDTV receiver from a good outfit in Canberra <http://www.digitalnow.com.au> who had links to all sorts of drivers and itele.
My complaint was interface. It is rough and very much a work in progress.
In the end I gave my USB gizzmo to a pal and spent a few more dollars on the "eyeTV" software that Elgato bundle with their hardware <http://www.elgato.com/>. Delightfully software that is up to date and easy to use. If the software can't be used by my 10 year old, then it fails my test. eyeTV's latest will allow export to iPod. Simple, clean, functional.
In short, worth a few extra dollars. Cheers, Stephen On 02/01/2006, at 6:22 PM, Paul wrote:
Hi all Here is a page with a list of working(?) tuner cards for OSX: <http://www.defyne.org/dvb/driver.html> Apparently something called iTele can be used as the GUI/viewer. I'm considering purchasing one of these cards from : <http://www.nintek.com.au/> Namely the Dvico plus for $179. Nintek is here in Perth but don't allow pick-ups. Has anyone used any of these cards or drivers? I'll be trying it in a KnoppMyth PC but I like the option of being able to 'pop' it into one of our Powermacs.
