The extremely basic firewalls in Mac OS X and Windows XP are intended
to do much the same thing.
I think it should be emphasized that the _default configuration_ in
Mac OS X is basic, not ipfw itself. :) ipfw is a more than acceptable
firewalling package, just not with the default config that it gets
when you click the little Start button in the Firewall tab of Sharing.
Sorry , but I am still learning about this .... what is ipfw ... and
what changes would you recommend ?
Thanks
