The thing that caught my eye:
Unlike previous iMacs, you are not limited to mirroring if you hook up an
external monitor. Using a mini-DVI connector (not included), you can hook an
external monitor up and use an extended desktop. You'll be able to run a
23" LCD at 1920x1200, or a CRT (yuck) with an analog adaptor at
 2045x1536.

A 20" iMac + 23" display would give some impressive display with a small
desktop footprint.

A welcome addition Apple.

who said you were ever limited to mirroring on the iMac ;)

at least now
1: seemingly officially supported it sound like it's no longer a potentially (though never, in my experience, enforced) warranty destroying bios hack

2: DVI-I instead of just analog allows the use of a digital lcd monitor like the Studio Display (why put in a peripheral port that can't be used with one of you most successful products)

yes the inclusion of the DVI out will probably be the iMac's deal sealer for me for when I upgrade my home office's old Ti-Book (which is my de-facto desktop machine - with my newish iBook doing mobility duties).... hmmm yes it's also time for a new machine at work and getting the Intel iMac to replace my aging G4 tower might make the boss happier than trying to bend his arm to release funds for a replacement G5 tower unit which is about to be made antiquated by processor change over.
