I'm trying to install Win XP Pro into Virtual PC 7.0.1 on my
PowerBook G4 1.67 with 1GHz RAM and 100Gb HDD running OS X 10.4.5.
It has sat on Installing Windows/Installing Devices for 10 hours now,
with the message "Setup will complete in approximately: 33 minutes."
I've tried Shutting Down the PC (in PC Menu), saving the partly
installed PC image state. VPC recognises this as a partially
installed state, reloads and resumes "installing".
ie the green flashing installation dots continue moving, but it stays
at 33 minutes.
How long is a minute in Windows?
What am I doing wrong?
Should I delete the image and start again?
The VPC 7 disk is one supplied through the WA DET Microsoft
Enterprise Agreement and WinXP comes from the school's Microsoft
Technology in Schools CD Kit 2002.
