Antony, try creating an uncompressed *StuffIt* archive instead of a ZIP archive. Then, use StuffIt to expand the archive on the PC. Stuffit archive expansion is a process that knows it has to deal with filenames, file-type associations, etc, whereas ZIP decompression is probably more naive.
