In iTunes you can set which formats your CDs are burnt in. You need
to set this to `Audio CD' this setting can be found in iTunes under
Preferences->Advanced->Burning and iTunes should do any necessary
converting.

I can successfully digitize them to yeild either AIFF or MP3 files
which iTunes will handle. Porblem is that none of the CDs
generated this way will work on regular CD players. Is there some
sftware I could obtain to convert?
