Subject: Re: Schools with Macs and Windows
Hi Nicholas
My school runs both Macs and PCs on a Windows 2000 based network.
We have both iMacs (8.6, 9.2) and PXs (XP) sharing use of the
curriculum network I have successfully negotiated connecting my OSX
Powerbook to the network through the use of TCP/IP for the
curriculum server.
I have a technician who has had to do a work around for a student
who has a PC with Deep Freeze loaded - he needed to contact the
Centre for Inclusive Schooling to obtain instructions on enabling
internet access for the student's machine.
If you think this is of help please feel free to ask more questions
- although I believe there are more gurus on this list than one
could care to mention!!!
Regards

Hello everyone,
I am interested in any contacts people may have at schools that are
successfully running both Macs and Windows. They need to be
able to help
alleviate concerns from another school about *potential*
technical difficulties
in letting a Mac into a school for the first time. The laptop
is coming in
under an assitive technology programme.
If you can assist, please contact me via email: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Glenn.
Glenn,
Contact Jenny Ashby from BEAUT, a new User Group that has started
up in Bendigo, Victoria that focus on Education and Macs, but no
doubt they have to deal with Windows as well.
I know Jenny has been in contact with GMUG and was recently
virtually present at one of their meetings via iChat
