the problem is not the webcam device itself but the Applications you want to use a webcam with. The only webcams you can use in Mac OS X have to be firewire based in order to be recognised. This means only an iSight or a firewire camcorder can be used. The IOXio group I htink they call themselves have written a USB driver to support a large assortment of unsupported USB webcams but as I said initially, It's not the device that's the problem, its application support for them. Currently iChat and Yahoo Messenger are the only Applications to support Webcams and Yahoo does it without Audio streaming. Well known instant messenger services like MSN Messenger Mac still haven't included webcam support but lets not complain I mean their latest release did include display picture support :)
