I recently had my first PowerPoint that would not open in M$ Office for
Mac v11.2.3. It was sent to me by a brother of one of my regular
correspondents who is a teacher of PowerPoint for PCs.
The web site mentioned by him:

shows the attitude of the 'dark side' to Macs, like we sometimes tend
to rubbish M$. The reason I'm having problems is outlined in
sub-heading #9 in that article I'm fairly sure.

A very good read, and gives you a good perspective on why Office for
Mac is better than Office for Windows ;-)
