iTunes and WMP

Hi everyone

A friend is running iTunes v6 on XP. When she puts a CD in the drive  
it automatically opens in Windows Media Player. WMP has been told  
that iTunes id the default player and iTunes has been told it is the  
default player but WMP insists on opening CDs.

Any thoughts on what has happened or what can be done to get iTUnes  
to stay the default player please?
