The ethernet port on my PowerBook G4 has succumbed to old age and over

Can this be repaired or is a PMCIA card the most cost effective option?
That depends on what the problem is. EG :
Has the housing become so warn that the plug does not sit properly in
it ?
or
Has one or more of the little wire fingers been dislodged from it's
position ,
become flattened , or been bent ?
You could try a different cord/plug to see if that homes better and
makes a connection !
Try a magnified inspection in the Powerbook socket and look at the
fingers to see how they are sitting .
An ethernet doctor may be able to make a 15 second adjustment .... if
your lucky .
