Hi Tony

I still think the Canon and Epson scanners are pretty good units. They weigh
in with some not bad software and generally just work well with everything.

I've put through a few of the newer Canon models and found them to install
and just work straight out of the box. (But then again I expect that,..it's
a Mac) :o)
The last Canon I sold was the LiDE500F (just over $200) and it was great.

Otherwise the LiDE60 is also a good unit,..coming in at $149.
The great thing I like about the Canon scanners is that they are so small
and compact, yet pack some good features. Plus they work directly off USB,
so you don't need a power supply for it! And when you're not using them you
can "stand them up" to get gain back some desk space.

And looking at the Epson range, you're going to be spending over $250 anyway
to get a scanner. Their cheapest entry model appears to be the 3490Photo.

Appears to have a retail of around the $300mark.

Hope that helps. :O)
Enjoy!

Kind Regards
Daniel
