The same reason why people used to spend the extra $2000 for a 500
Pismo over a 400 - coolness :-) The 500 wasn't that much
quicker.........
But at least it *was* quicker. Now the choice is a black Macbook at
$2160 edu ($2399 retail) or an otherwise identical white model for
$1970 ($2189 retail).
$200 for black plastic. That's a shame - at least the iPod is the
same price for black or white.
