IF it boots off an OS , it will run on that OS installation without
the other !
Dual boot was available up until about 2002 .. forget the exact model ,
but your is well before that.
IF .. the Mac has SCSI & ADB then OS9.1 will work best .
IF .. the Mac has been manufactured with USB, or USB and Firewire ...
OS9.2 is your system .
