I was wondering if there is any software to test if the internal

Besides software, is there any other suggestions?
Thanks.
Much as I hate to say it, run Disk Utility and try repairing
privileges. I had a PowerBook with a drive that refused to work today
and it turned out that the disk image mounting software didn't have
enough privileges to do mount the disk.
Of course this wouldn't explain why the machine doesn't boot off the
drive, but it's cheaper than replacing the drive :)
The really desperate could try zapping the PRAM :)
Have fun,
Shay
