My hard drive died, screen went blue. Tried various things including
Apple Care disc. Said reassuringly (not!) Panic.
Took it to Apple re-seller Took 3 weeks to get new hard drive
installed (first hard drive was DOA) and I lost all my data.
I thought, never mind, I've got lots backed up with my .mac account.
However, when I logged into the .mac connection with System
Preferences, in the Advanced section, it said I wasn't on my
registered computer (presumably because it was new hard drive!) So I
clicked on the new computer listed. When I downloaded backup to
restore the backup folder has 0 KB in it! There was no warning
message.. just gone! Not sure what I paid for at all!
The new realisation, can't copy music from ipod to computer!
Evidently when I connect it will delete it! Any suggestions?
At this point I am very out of charity with Apple!
