Why on earth would anybody want a 10Gb HD so badly they take it out of an old machine?

Hi all

I believe some organisations who sell off large numbers of redundant machines just get the drives destroyed rather than pay someone to *securely* erase the data in order to recoup the small value left in the drive.
Given the price of popping in an 80GB they may be justified.
Cant have drives that are too new....

Selling you one driveless is not on though!
Your seller may not be aware your's was driveless.

I helped some newbies get their first Mac today, bought from a very nervous eBayer who reluctantly agreed to do a COD, it made a young boy very happy. 733 Quicksilver for $311 + 512MB RAM. Nice. The $80 21' Sun studio monitor from the quokka actually elicited a little swearing from said boy, hehe. Something, something huge I think he said...

Cheers
