As usual I need help again :-(

I have a  DG834G v2 router and I have discovered that the reason it  
is no working optimally is that it needs an upgrade. I have found the  
upgrade and it was in .zip form. I have unzipped it and now have  
an .img file, I have shown this to the router and it is not  
interested " I do not eat that kind of food" Presumably if I had been  
a nice PC I would have produced some other kind of file.

dg834_v2_10_22.zip  >  DG834_V2.10.22.img
Can anyone help please.
