Regarding Voip Calls
I have voip with IInet from day one and it works well
I use to pay with Iinet $0 per month and 10c calls to any major city,
outside the city it was 10c per minute
plus I was paying $34 per month rental for the land line
Now I changed with IInet $9.95 per month for Voip and 15c untimed
Australia wide
plus I changed my land line from $34.95 with IInet to Telstra Budget
$19.95 (30c cent calls ) I never use the landline
As I do ring around Australia a lot I do save a few $$$ using voip
Engin also has a device that plugs into your router for $99
http://www.engin.com.au/
Its better for your router to have QOS so if you are downloading heavy it
will make sure you have enough bandwidth
for the call
Here are a few links for Free phone calls ( or cheaper calls) to landlines
using Voip

I've been reading with interest, the posts about VOIP and Skype. I
haven't
gone that way, yet, as I don't fully understand how it works (I know I
need
to pay extra to my ISP to have VOIP) and if I do go with it, can it be
used
