I use a Vodaphone web page that let's me type in the message and it
sends it. I use addressbook to get the number and copy & paste into
recipient field. Works for me. Can even send to many in one hit.

choose web2txt.
With mine though, I have logged in etc so mine is a different link
which I go to and the Mac automatically types in my username and
password so I OK it and it goes straight to the sms screen. It might
even come in your cap - some say yes and some no :-)

Someone suggested Skype Beta 2.5 which has SMS. But it wanted to
charge me 71c Euro to send a test SMS to my own phone!
Doesn't seem a goer in Aus?
