A bit OT but my Holden has a factory BT kit that has similar features (works great with my Blackberry 8700) but I have it set up so that the phone sound comes out of the RHF speaker only. The stereo system saves the settings for the different modes (Phone, Radio and CD etc.). Are you sure that your stereo doesn't save settings for the phone mode as well ? When on a call, change the balance to see ? Phone sound coming
out of the LHF would be a bit weird !

Hi intrepid WAMUGgers

Does anyone know of a Bluetooth adaptor for an iPod mini? We're getting a car with a Bluetooth hands-free car phone system as part of its audio/radio/CD player gizmo thingy. If it can synch with a phone, maybe it might synch with my PowerBook, in which case having the iPod synching with it would be brilliant. We go to Perth tomorrow for the changeover and will soon know if it's possible. Valé BlackMac, Welcome Silver Bullet (MacPro?).

The iPod bluetooth question is a moot point at the moment. The car does have bluetooth phone and it's clever, pairing with Elaine's phone whenever we get into the car and start it. When you make a call or receive one the radio automatically turns down and up again after the call. All we have to do is remember to press the answer button on the dash, not the hang-up button! However Mitsubishi, in its wisdom, has the microphone hidden in the dash on the driver's side and the voice only operates through the passenger side front speakers. Not much incentive to trial PowerBook or iPod pairing. Having said that I haven't tried it anyway. Maybe some electronic/ electrical guru might rewire it to go through the whole system but that might mess up the phone quality. Any ideas?
