What software do you want/have to do this with?

In FCP its easy - just swap one for the other and export a new file.

If you've got quicktime pro you can also replace the soundtrack, as long as it's exaclty the same length.

I have just extracted the introduction to a movie so that i can show students how it creates an atmospher for the rest of the movie. What I also want to do is change the sound track and impose another to change the atmosphere.
I have forgotten how I last did this.
It wasn't that easy before can I do it in an easy way now?
