i just tested/tasted tha coconut stuff as well, therre is a bad taste in it
as you mention mine shows a similar figure: (powerbook g4 17")

current charge 96% (and is going up)
current capacity 95%
charger not connected
battery is not chargeing

in fact the charger is connected & the battery gets right now charged up from 93% (is right now on 96%) (charger light is amber)

if there is really a problem take the battery out clean all connectors with metho and see if it's better
do not trust this software!!!!
cheers James

Dear WAMUGgers

I need help for my PowerBook, G4 15" 10.4.9.

I had a warranty battery replacement just before Christmas and since late January, the PowerBook crashes if the power charger is disconnected, including reverting to 1970 date/time prefs.

One line of advice suggests that the new battery is faulty. Another, that the laptop's P-RAM battery has failed. (Yes apparently the PowerBook has such a battery).

I've just read about coconutBattery diagnostic software. http:// www.coconut-flavour.com/coconutbattery/

This shows my battery as being 4184 mAh of 4046 mAh (96%) charged, with 4182 of 4400 mAh capacity (95%), with 59 Battery-Loadcycles, my Mac being 26 months old, and:

Charger connected: No
Battery is charging: No

...when my charger is connected and the PowerBook battery menu indicator shows 96% and charging?

Any advice please before I send it off to the MacDoctor in far- south Perth?

Many thanks

Reg
