It depends. Do you need it to play on a DVD (be authored) or just to
move it as a file on a DVD? If just as a file, can the person at the
other end accepting the file use quicktimes? If they have QT7 then
probably the H.264 codec will do the job. Especially if you are able
to reduce the frame size, to half or a third of full size.
In QT pro - file > Export > Movie to Quictktime movie > Options >
Settings > compression type H.264. The rest of the settings are to
your taste, including resizing if allowed.

Hi all,
Is there a quick answer to compressing a movie in Quick time that is 11.55
gigs to a size that a DVD will accommodate? (7.4 gig capacity)
