Hi all,

My Powerbook G4 has suddenly decided not to let me access any files on my desktop or any applications by clicking on them in situ, unless I drop said files or application into my dock. Can someone tell me how I get back to normal please.

Thanks in advance,
David

Hi David

I haven't seen this before but I would do a Permissions Repair in Disk Utility. Doing it while booted from the Install Disk would be good, if practical.

Good Luck
Paul

Hi David,

If you click once on the folder/icon to highlight it, then hit Command + O, do they open/launch.

Check System Preferences under "Keyboard & Mouse" and check your double-click settings.

Cheers,
Ronni
