That's what I thought David, but whereas the other software (eg. IDVD,
GarageBand) is bundled and you can install separately, iMovie is part of
MacOS X and it seems you can only install it if you install the basic system
software as well.

I'll have a look at Bob's suggestion of Pacifist and see what that's all
about.
