Hello.
I am trying to avoid the cost and running windows and virus software
to protect the windows system.
If CrossOver works then I hope that is the solution.
I will try a demo of CrossOver and a demo of the applications as
suggested by David

CrossOver Mac is more of a hit and miss affair. Some windows
applications run flawlessly, some will not work at all. I am basing
this opinion on the fact that I've used wine on linux (CrossOver
Mac uses wine as it's backend) and the fact that I've successfully
run steam (http://www.steampowered.com) on my MacBook with CrossOver.
I would suggest you download the trail version of CrossOver and see
if it is capable of running the application you require before you
consider purchasing it. Or you can go with Phil's suggestion and
run Parallels, which more than likely be able to run all of your
applications.

Is CrossOver Mac good enough to run Windows applications.
I would like to use some stockmarket and accounting applications
without running a windows system.
If the applications are upgraded to Vista do they still work.
I have an Intel iMac
Sys 10.4.9
Any info from users would be appreciated.
