I got my Telstra NextG wireless USB modem this week. It took a while
to set it up because the CD which it came with didn't have a driver
for this device. Called Telstra, got straight through! :-0 They
directed me to a very obscure location on their site, where I
downloaded the driver over dialup. Once I entered my details, it
worked fine.
However, I would like to know how fast it is working. At some
locations, it seems very slow. I understand that this is because it
picks up lower speed networks where NextG is not available. But, I
would like to know what I'm getting. The driver software doesn't
tell me this. Is there any other way?
Cheers
Rob
