Woops! Sent this directly into Ken's Mailbox. My sincere apologies Ken.

Dear WAMUG'rs & Ken,

Well said Ken! I agree with your suggestions. Of course this will depend on
whether we are going to keep meeting on a monthly basis, and if that happens
then definitely, we the usual onlookers and me included in the first place,
will need to move to the podium once in a while.

We have to remember though that presenters should not be expected to be
expert demonstrators! I do not mind showing my genealogical software, but be
warned I have a strong accent, do not like speaking publicly and my
presentation will be very amateurish as I'm not a teacher or my name is not
Steve J..s :)

Joke aside, I have always enjoyed the presentations given on the fly by
Peter, Matt and a few others on occasion. These presentations do open
avenues for those who are not sure which application to download or purchase
for their specific requirements.

I would vote for keeping the meetings going as I tend to think that through
personal contact WAMUG becomes also a human endeavour and not just a
'virtual' endeavour.

As so many other have expressed, I too feel guilty but for having for so
many years been a listener, albeit a very keen listener, but no talk!! And
I'll take this occasion to thank those who have kept the monthly meetings
going - Matt, Peter, Daniel and others whose names escape me at the moment,
with my apologies.

If on the downside the montly meetings are discontinued, then I will take
consolation in knowing that WAMUG will continue in the virtual world of the
Web. For I trust that its many contributors, real people indeed, will
hopefully stay active, and Matt with help from some of us can find a way to
keep the server going.

My thoughts.

Kind regards to all.
