Hi Chris, I did a google and found a website that clarified that the
JVC MG505, like other JVC models, needs a special program to import
to the Mac. It is included with the camera. Ronni did a tutorial on
how to do this about a month ago if you search the archives. The
Capty MPEG Edit program allows for drag and drop to the Mac, then
importing into imovie.
Unless you have ilife 08, in which case you will be able to import it
into iMovie 08 using USB.
