bought recently ?
Does it have a separate power supply or are using just the USB
connection ?
You said that HD was Mac and PC ! Did you reformat it , or is it as
you bought it ?
If so it will most likely be formatted for PC , which Mac OSX can
read and handle !
So there are a couple of thought s for you !
Meanwhile while Silverkeeper will not work for you , try Drag and
drop of up to a GB
of data and see how it handles that .

I found by backing up small amounts at a
time like half a dozen photos (5-7 Mb0 it worked OK. Now however
Silverkeeper tells me I cannot back up any more since I have
reached the
maximum of 20 sets (A set is just one separate backup group of
photos.) I
would not have put more than 1GB on the Maxtor so far.
