Have you tried any of the service centres Kevin? It is a fairly standard part across the range of white G3 ibooks, and most providers will probably have a brand new one still in stock. From memory, Nick at Macworx Joondalup carried these (9301 5333).

Our daughter's iBook died on her and after opening it I find that the small board which carries ti external power input is cooked.

So....does anyone have a broken 14" white iBook that I may be able to buy that bit from?

The alternative is that I could buy another second hand iBook, but getting the info off the HD could be a problem. Is the cabling to the HD the same as desktops?

I live in hope,
