Have you tried any of the service centres Kevin? It is a fairly
standard part across the range of white G3 ibooks, and most providers
will probably have a brand new one still in stock. From memory, Nick
at Macworx Joondalup carried these (9301 5333).

The alternative is that I could buy another second hand iBook, but
getting the info off the HD could be a problem. Is the cabling to
the HD the same as desktops?
