Well, you can simply keep on using the external HD. Simply hold down
the Option key when you first launch iTunes on your new computer and
choose the iTunes folder on the HD.
If you really want to bring the music back to your internal HD, you
should be able simply to copy the iTunes folder from the extenal HD to
the Music folder in your Home folder and relaunch iTunes.
