DivX is great - good clarity, small files - but you can get similar
results with Quicktime Pro using the H.264 codec. Compression has
come a very long way in the last few years.
The only thing to remember is that these are not 'editing' codecs.
They are delivery codecs. If you want to do further editing, make
sure to archive in the native format, if you can.

Hi everyone !
Some experimentation with iMovie showed it created large files ,
so i had not proceeded further .
Recently I downloaded a copy of DivX player and Converter.
It takes a 3.26 GB iMovie project and compresses it down to 177 Mb
DivX file and the playback quality is excellent .
Anybody else making use of this software ?
Thanks
Bob
