Hi Denise,
Q1. iPhoto keeps as much as 3 files of the same photo. The original,
the thumbnail and the edited photo (if you have made any
alterations). I suspect that in your case you somehow have deleted
the original / edited photo file but you can still see the thumbnail.
I was able to replicate your exact description by opening the iPhoto
folder and deleting the original. Hence a thumbnail but a grey
background with dark grey framed exclamation mark when I zoom in.
Q2. I have got iPhoto v7 and it does produce a TV and Wintel viewable
DVD using the Share to iDVD option. I am pretty certain that this was
available with iPhoto v6.
Regards,
Eugene

Hi Wamuggers
Greetings to all, had hoped to get to the Xmas barbie but life got
too
busy!
I'm not an iPhoto user (can't stand the fact it let's you save
duplicate
files in the same folder) but I'm forced to use it for a slide show.
Two Questions: (using iPhoto v6.O.5)
Q1 I have a lot of files in the iPhoto library that are showing
as a blank
image ie just a blank marquee with an exclamation mark in the
middle of
grey. This comes up when I double click on the small preview photo
across
the top of screen - it comes up as this blank thing & I can't get
rid of it.
Have to quit iPhoto. All photos are JPGs around 400kb.
Q2 If by some miracle I'm able to produce a slide show, can I
somehow save
it so that I can view it on a TV screen, ie burn to DVD and put in DVD
player connected to plasma TV? Would love to also be able to save a
slide
show that can be viewed by those on the dark side!
Thanks in advance for all help - greatly appreciated.
