Hi Mac,
Try putting in Westnet's DNS servers.
Somewhere along the line your DNS address(s) became deleted from the
network System Preferences for your 'active' connection (e.g Airport).
It probably was set to default to your local (home) router.
This basically means that safari can not find the web site you attempt
to load, so it waits for a very long time.
You can add in the DNS address(s) by going to System Preferences /
Network and selecting your active network connection / DNS tab.
WestNet DNS servers are:
Primary: 203.21.20.20
Secondary: 203.10.1.9
Cheers,
Ronni

I recently installed Leopard and now when I go onto the net it is so
slow it grows IcIcles while you wait for a url to come up. The url
goes blue about 4 or 5 letters across then you wait and wait and
wait, eventually it comes through. The download speed checks out at
1350 kb/s (Speedtest.net) so I do not think the problem lies there.
I am sure it lies somewhere in my laptop but I do not know where to
look. Incidently iPhoto is also glacial. It all seems to have
happened since installing Leopard.
I did a complete wipe of the disk and a fresh install of Leopard and
thought i Would be 'sweet' :-(
Can someone tell me where to look?
