Since installing the Security Update 2008-001 whenever I go to
download a page from a web site which is a standard "xxxxxxxxx.html"
page by holding down the Option key and clicking on the page title,
the Downloads window pops up with another message window which says
"xxxxxx.html is an Application. Are you sure you want to download the
application xxxxxx.html".
If I click on the highlighted "Download" button the page is
downloaded as normal as a html page.
I have repaired permissions which fixed something about flash
macromedia but I reran Repair permissions and now there is nothing to
report.
I have reinstalled the Security Update.
Problem remains. This has definitely only occurred since the Security
Update.
OK, I can download the page each time but this is a real pain to be
told the page is an application each time.
Can anybody shed any light on this please.
