I've now sorted out this problem. Informed Technology either went bust or just passed on its customer accounts to Westnet without either of them bothering to tell their clients. In the transfer, email accounts got messed up, and in my case no email could be down loaded, although I could still send stuff. After failing to contact IT, I contacted Westnet Support, which was most helpful, as far as they could be. My first attempt connected my e-mail to Westnet Webmail, which I didn't like, so another lengthy phone session finally put my e-mail back onto mail. Thanks to Westnet, but I can't understand how such a simple process got so complicated and time wasting!!

------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------------------- Does anyone know anything about this ISP? I have an e-mail (only) account with them, but I can't download any mail. I haven't been able to contact them in any way, including phone.

But you can reply to this by e-mail, as it will come up on the WAMUG website,
Thanks,

R. A. Anderson.
